The need for a password manager.

Many websites require that we, create an account with a minimum of a user name and password, and in many cases require us to remember answers to secret questions, along with other information for security reasons. While computers are great at recalling all of this information humans are not. Because of this, many people simply use the same password for multiple sites. While this solves the problem of having to recall multiple passwords, it certainly is not very secure.

Many browsers include some method of saving and inputting our passwords and that is great, but there are a few problems with this.  There is generally no simple method of backing them up,  no simple way of using them on multiple computers and if our computers crash then ... the passwords go with them. We could write them down on a piece of paper or in a text file. But this proves insecure and somewhat inconvenient to use.
